A solid, weighty brass balance scale resting on a reclaimed oak table, its polished surfaces reflecting subtle golden highlights. The scale’s pans are filled with small, diverse tokens representing local assets: miniature brick terrace houses, stylized factory buildings, and tiny green trees. Behind it, out of focus through a large window, sits a recognizable but generic East Midlands townscape reminiscent of Hucknall and Nottinghamshire, with red-brick rows and modest shopfronts. Soft morning daylight streams in, creating gentle shadows and a calm, trustworthy atmosphere. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field that keeps the scale crisp while the town blurs into warm bokeh, conveying professional stability and community-backed finance without showing any people or text.

Starting in Hucknall. Building across the Midlands. Thinking globally.

Preserving Wealth. Creating Abundance. Starting Here.

We’re exploring what it looks like when communities across the Midlands own their financial infrastructure — preserving purchasing power, generating sustainable surpluses, and directing them toward the things that actually matter. Starting small in Hucknall. Building something that lasts.

THE MISSION

Build Wealth. Create Abundance.

The financial system

The mechanism.

Community ownership

The structure.

Education

The capability.

Productive capital

The engine.

Transparency

The trust mechanism.

Community participation

The feedback loop.

And abundance is the outcome we are trying to create.

I’m exploring whether better financial infrastructure can give people more economic power — and whether that economic power can then be transformed into more opportunity, more productive assets and more abundance for the communities that create it.

This is a founder journey.

The first experiment is community saving.
The long-term vision is WCS.
The ultimate ambition is international economic resilience.

One goal. Many ways to get there.

I’m not building a bank simply because I want to own a bank.

About

Shawn Morant is building a community-owned, asset-backed financial institution that keeps decision-making and wealth rooted in Hucknall, strengthening local resilience before expanding across the Midlands and beyond.

A close-up of a transparent glass jar filled with varied physical tokens symbolizing community wealth: miniature brick buildings, metal gears, tiny solar panels, and small polished stones engraved with abstract symbols. The jar sits on a smooth, dark wood desk beside a sleek, open laptop displaying blurred charts, with a subtle map outline of Nottinghamshire pinned on a cork board in the background. Soft, diffused overcast light from a side window creates a balanced, professional glow, with faint reflections on the glass. Photographic realism, composed with the jar in the foreground and office details receding into a gentle blur, evoking responsible stewardship, asset-backed security, and modern local finance infrastructure.

THE FOUNDER

I’m Shawn Morant. I’m trying to build something bigger than a business.

I’m a 23-year-old founder exploring how financial institutions could work differently — helping people manage wealth more effectively while building the foundations for greater community abundance.

This isn’t a startup looking for its next funding round. It’s an attempt to build something that lasts — an institution rooted in the Midlands, owned by its community, and designed to grow stronger over time.

Building institutions that make ordinary people more economically powerful.

WHY IT MATTERS

Money should create possibilities, not just paperwork.

The financial system is incredibly powerful, but it can also be incredibly difficult for ordinary people to understand.

Inflation & Rising Costs

Complex Financial Products

Low Financial Literacy

Time Constraints

Uncertainty

Difficult Investment Decisions

Limited Asset Access

Economic Shocks

Savings That Don’t Keep Up

We want to explore whether it can be made simpler, more transparent and more community-oriented.

These aren’t personal failings. They’re systemic conditions. The goal isn’t to blame the system — it’s to build something that works better within it.

Better infrastructure. Clearer information. More time to live your life.

COMMUNITY · SECTION 19

You don’t have to donate to help build this.

You can help simply by joining the community, answering a survey, sharing an idea, challenging an assumption, following the journey or telling someone about the project.

  • Your opinion is capital.
  • Your knowledge is capital.
  • Your time is capital.
  • Your ideas are capital.
  • Your participation helps us understand what should be built.

And if you do choose to donate, you automatically enrol as part of our founding programme — with early access, updates, and a seat at the table as this gets built.

THE CORE MISSION

One goal. Many ways to get there.

The exact products, companies and technologies may change. The business model may change. The mission does not.

Help people

Become more economically powerful.

Use that power

To create genuine abundance in their communities.

Build institutions

That last longer than any single product or trend.

“The mission is to help people become more economically powerful — and use that economic power to create abundance.”

This allows the work to evolve. New tools, new structures, new collaborations — without losing the thread of why it started.

THE ROADMAP

One goal. A clear path.

CURRENT STAGE

01 — Listen

Understand what people actually want.

Community surveys. Research. Conversations. Market validation.

Starting in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire and the Midlands.

02 — Build

Create the first community saving programme.

Develop the operating model. Test participation. Test demand. Build the community.

THE VISION

06 — Scale

From Hucknall to the world.

Hucknall → Nottinghamshire → Midlands → United Kingdom → International

Prove it locally. Scale it nationally. Share it globally.

COMING SOON

03 — Grow

Coming next.

Scale what works. Expand across the Midlands. Build the institutions that last.

THE DESTINATION

05 — Community Abundance

Use economic surpluses to explore projects the community actually values.

⚡ Energy

Solar and community energy.

🏠 Housing

Secure and affordable housing.

🎓 Skills

Education, training and employment.

🏗️ Infrastructure

Projects that improve local productivity.

🚀 Entrepreneurship

Helping people create businesses.

🌱 Community Assets

Building assets that generate future economic value.

The surplus becomes the seed capital for the next opportunity.

The roadmap evolves. The mission doesn’t.

THE WORLD WE WANT TO BUILD

What if economic progress actually felt visible in people’s lives?

  • More productive communities.
  • More financial security.
  • More affordable energy.
  • More secure housing.
  • More access to capital.
  • More ownership.
  • More education.
  • More opportunity.
  • More resilient communities.
  • More time.
  • More freedom.
  • More abundance.

That’s the world I’m trying to build.

An aerial, photographic-realistic view of a stylized East Midlands market town, echoing Hucknall and Nottinghamshire, with neat rows of brick homes, small high-street shops, light industrial units, and green community spaces. Discreet glowing paths connect buildings, forming a subtle network pattern that suggests flows of local capital. The scene is captured in late-afternoon golden hour light, casting long, warm shadows and emphasizing texture on brick and slate roofs. The composition uses a wide-angle lens effect with sharp focus across the entire frame, presenting a sense of scale, order, and potential. The mood is optimistic and grounded, highlighting how a community-owned financial institution channels surpluses into a resilient, productive local economy, all without any visible people or text.

FOUNDER STATEMENT

I’m 23. I don’t have all the answers.

I have a direction.

I’m starting in Hucknall and Nottinghamshire, learning from real people, testing real ideas and building the knowledge required to create something that can eventually become much bigger.

The first project may change. The business model may change. The technology may change.

But the mission remains the same:

Help people become more economically powerful — and use that power to create abundance.

— Shawn Morant, Founder
